My 36 days “self-imposed” social media detox is finally over and it wouldn’t be meaningful without a “take away”, so here I am with my 12,,,, Happy Easter and yes I missed you too (big hugs and loud kisses for all of you guys) haha.
1.Life goes on without Facebook, Instagram and stalking blogs.
2.We choose our own addiction and no one can help us out of it but us.
3.That passion is harder to give up than an addiction, I missed blogging the most.
4.When you tell your brain, you can! your brain has no choice but to follow, and I guess you know what happens when you say “you can’t”.
5.There are other ways to get in touch.
6.I don’t need social media to tell people I love them.
7.Everything is learned, and that includes “moving on”.
8.Social media is not bad, it’s the way we use and abuse it that makes it bad (moderation Bing, moderation).
9.Nature has more character than the filtered version on social media.
10.That I could actually read faster than I thought.
11. I can stay updated without having to constantly scroll my phone (actually it’s Boyfriend’s phone).
12. Lack of time for something important in our lives is not the virtual world’s fault, IT’S OURS.
The 1st 72 hours was the hardest, on the 5th day, I felt accomplished already, imagine how I felt on the 20th day, and the last day is when I had to pause and really think of what I’ve just been through.
Thanks for coming over, I’m officially back blogging (not being able to blog was actually the hardest arrrgh, I’m not doing that again), officially an FB and IG USER again, but definitely not an ABUSER anymore.
Happy Easter guys? have you had a detox lately? and what’s your take away?
