Bacon Wrapped Sausage
Besides watching Korean dramas,cooking is something I look forward to on my days off,this is the time I take over the kitchen from Boyfriend (husband) the designated cook in the house,and this is what my minions always anticipate their mom of doing,because they know they will be part of it.When I cook my kids will crowd around my work space which I must admit I hated when they were younger(they don’t get what safety means),but over time I learned to enjoy sharing the kitchen with them,controlled chaos in the kitchen is now fun,,,,I still raise my voice(that’s something I will never learn to give up) when something which does not belong to the floor gets there,but behind each kitchen chaos is mom’s pleasure when these kids compliment and use flattery to express their fascination of my cooking,,,the “ooohhhss” and “wowsss” and the “you’re so good mama” or the totally out of the context “your face is so pretty mama”..(I don’t get the relationship between my face and their concept of good food,but what ever—mom is always happy with cute compliments like that)… and finally the most smile inducing is their gesture of satisfaction after they gobble up what I cook,the three of them rubbing their tummies still with “mmmm” “mmmm’ “mmmm” in their lips.
Now that’s what I call perks of being a mom.
After my perks lets move on to cooking,today I made the kids this bacon sausage rolls,I’m sure you and your kids will love them:
1.24 pcs. sausage
2.1/2 lb. bacon
3.1 cup brown sugar
3.skewer or toothpick
1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2.Line the baking sheet with aluminum foil.
3.Cut bacon strips to three parts.
4.Roll bacon over the sausage and put them on skewer(you may use hotdog if sausage not available).
5.Line the bacon sausage wrap on the baking sheet.
6.Sprinkle the brown sugar over your masterpiece.
7.Put it in the oven,this will take about 10-15 minutes.
8.Take them off the oven when the bacon looks golden brown,don’t let the brown sugar burn.
