Candy Cane Vodka And More

Hi everyone, welcome back to you and me ,4 days without a blog post felt like a decade long of hiatus.Well anyway my come back post is still related to the holiday season, because today I’m gonna show you 1.How I made that candy cane inspired vodka drink 2.What to do with your bread left over and 3.What to do with the egg whites, after using only the egg yolks for your creme brûlée or leche flan.

So here we go.

Part 1:Candy cane vodka

INGREDIENTS:

30 ml. vodka or less
240 ml.  lemon lime soda
3 candy cane,crushed.
ice cubes.

PREPARATION:

1.Cut candy canes into small pieces, place the cut pieces in a Ziploc bag.Roll a rolling pin over the candy until crushed.
2.Pour crushed candy cane in a large glass, pour 30 ml. of vodka and a quarter cup of the lemon lime, let it sit for 30 minutes or until the candy cane dissolves.
3.Pour the remaining lemon lime soda to the mixture.
4.Add your ice cubes and serve.

Please drink responsibly.

Part Two:Bread left over ideas.

I’m sure I’m not the only one guilty here,I know that at some point you and I have wasted a slice or even a loaf of bread because,,,just because. Now here’s a simple solution to enjoy our bread left overs.

1.Let’s toast them:
-Cut your bread into long strips as shown below.
-Drizzle olive oil on your baking sheet (may use butter if you’re not health conscious like someone I know),line your bread in your baking sheet and drizzle more olive oil on top.
-Put them in the oven for 10 minutes or until brown.
2.Let’s make croutons:
-Cut your bread into cube size, spread them in your baking sheet, put them in the oven for 10 minutes.
-Melt butter in a pan,add the croutons take them off the heat when they start to brown.
3.Let’s make bread crumbs:
-Now you don’t need instructions for that, right???.

Part Three:Egg white left over.

These were the egg whites from my “green tea creme brûlée” post. What I did,,,,I added a pinch of dried dill,a pinch of salt, pinch of black pepper to these egg whites (about 4),cooked the the way I’d cook a regular scrambled egg.

Easy wasn’t it???,Do you have some easy vodka recipe you want to share??what about left over recipes???I’d be more than happy to try them.

Thanx for visiting my blog,xoxo.
