Chocolate Coated Chips

Valentine’s day is so over and done, but chocolate treats are not limited to this occasion only.Today I’m gonna show you how to add some magic to your old plain potato chips and how to make your very own version of chocolate coated strawberries.

Have fun making your version and good luck.

INGREDIENTS and MATERIALS:

1.1 pack of dark chocolate melts (I used Wilton candy melts)
2. potato chips
3.strawberries
4.2 tsp. of cooking oil (don’t use olive oil,it burns too fast.)
5.wax paper
6.fork

INSTRUCTIONS:

1.Pour chocolate melts in a microwave safe container add 1 tsp. of oil, microwave for 1 minute.

2.After a minute your chocolate melts will look like this, don’t panic they are all soft, you just have to mix them (don’t microwave more than a minute, otherwise your chocolates will get burn).

3.While your chocolates are in the microwave, cut a large piece of wax paper and just spread it out on a dry flat surface.

Wash your strawberries and let them dry over a paper towel or a kitchen towel.

4.Dip your strawberries and shake off some excess chocolates by tapping your free hand over your hand holding the strawberry.

5.Do the same thing with your potato chips.

6.It is important to line your strawberries this way,you will see why on the next photo, and since I want to add detail to my chips and strawberries,I melted about 1/3 cup of green candy melts, added 1 tsp. of oil and microwaved them for 1 minute.

7.Dip your fork on your melted candies and just run the fork over the strawberries, and that’s why I told you to line them like that, you need speed in doing this, otherwise your chocolates will clump over your strawberries, practice practice.

8.Do the same on your chips.

9.Present them the way you like, have fun.
